When inspiration hits
A little over a year ago I was out walking on a trail near home and found the most dramatic tree and instantly imagined doing a witchy photoshoot underneath it. I contacted my friend Audrey and told her about my idea and she immediately said yes and we started to plan. She drove up to North Whidbey Island the day after Halloween with a car full of outfits and her fabulous witch hat and adventurous attitude. She traipsed through the forest trail and laughed and danced and twirled and I got to follow along and capture all the fun and magic.
At this point I was just starting to get back into photography again after a long hiatus of going through grad school, having two babies, and moving up to Whidbey Island near the end of the pandemic. I was full of nerves and excitement as I got to see my vision come to life through Audrey's whimsical charm.
A year and an extra sprinkle of magic later
As the last year has progressed I've been slowly marketing my photography business more and more. And as my work is growing, I've been able to do more photography sessions and it is giving me so much life. In the middle of the sweet newborn sessions and sassy senior photos, I've been itching for some fun whimsy and more creative photography again.
Near the end of summer as all the other photographers started posting about their fall mini sessions I was scheming about my own little mini sessions. While I absolutely adore the pumpkins and sweet squishy babies getting to experience autumn joys captured on camera, I wanted to do something a little different. Que autumn witchy minis!
Autumn Witchy Minis
This fall I am so excited to offer a unique mini session experience! The first weekend of October come join me in the woods in your favorite witch outfit and let's create some magic together! Inspired by my shoot with Audrey last year I wanted to open this up to the greater community to come and embrace some of your witchy energy into a fun photoshoot. I have an array of witch hats and accessories, so you just need to sign up and decide which version of witch you want to be and show up ready to laugh and dance and be your perfectly wonderful self.
